Stretcher Service

Americare Handicab transport is available for those who need the comfort of lying down during transport or may not be able to sit upright for extended periods of time.

Who should be transported by Stretcher?
Persons who are:
• Medically stable
• Bed confined, or need to lay down
• Having same day surgery and are stable (Eye, cosmetic, ortho, outpatient surgery centers)
• In need of transport to rehabilitative services or medical appointments

Medicaid and Health Insurances may pay for stretcher transport on a pre-approved basis.
